The House of Commons select committee on science and technology has advised that the NHS should no longer fund homeopathic treatment. Homeopathic treatment is a form of complimentary medicine which uses heavily diluted doses of treatment which are thought to cause similar symptoms to the illnesses they are aiming to treat. The idea is that the diluted doses trigger the bodies natural defenses to help overcome the condition.
Cristal Sumner, of the British Homeopathic Association, told the newspaper that such treatments have been a part of the NHS since it was set up and are founded on the basis that “like cures like”.
Millions of patients across the globe swear by homeopathic treatments while others dismiss it as nothing more than a placebo. If you are a firm believer in homeopathic medicine then an affordable health insurance may well be your best bet if you want to continue receiving treatment such treatment in the future.
Homeopathic cover can be found as an option on most medical and health cash plans. If you are considering a policy, whether you want more information, some guidance or health insurance quotes from the leading insurers we are here to help.
