Switching health insurance is simple

In the past, changing health insurance provider could mean you had to start again with new underwriting terms which meant if you’d developed an illness or condition since commencing your original policy, you would find it almost impossible to get that condition covered under a new plan.

Fortunately with many health insurance plans today when changing providers you can be underwritten on a Continuing Personal Medical Exclusions(CPME) basis also known as a no worse terms switch facility.  The individual in question would switch to the new health insurance policy without any underwriting required as they continue to use their current medical underwriting status which was held by the previous insurer.

Review the market and make your savings.

Utilising CPME undewriting is a win–win. You can be scouring the health insurance market for the most competitive policy that best suits your needs whilst making sure you are not paying over the odds for your cover, safe in the knowledge that if you do need to change provider you are going to be no worse off in terms off any personal exclusions.

If you haven’t recently reviewed your health insurance you may well be able to make some considerable savings and as health plans develop you may even find one that better suits your needs.
